- Teak (Tectona grandis) is a tropical hardwood tree species placed in the flowering plant family Lamiaceae. It has a golden colour, elegantly distributed grains, and high amounts of teak natural oils make it particularly suitable where weather resistance is desired. It is used in the manufacture of outdoor furniture and boat decks. It is also used for cutting boards, indoor flooring, countertops and as a veneer for indoor finishings.

- Kapur (or Kapor) is a dipterocarp hardwood from trees of the genus Dryobalanops found in lowland tropical rainforests. Kapur wood exhibits a class 2 durability, making it ideal for use in general construction. It makes an attractive material for flooring and staircases. The timber is also highly prized for external joinery, in particular for door and window sills, as it is resistant to decay when fully exposed to the weather.
